User Preferences

Summary

AdjustRite lets you set your own preference for how the program will behave for you.

When you set a user preference, it will be set for you, but will not effect any other users. So, if you have several users in your shop and each wants to set a preference, each will need set their own preference while they are logged in.

 

Detail Instructions

You will see a list of preferences. You select your choice by clicking on the radio button in the section for that choice. You must be logged on as yourself to set your preferences. You get to the User Preferences screen by selecting the Administration drop down menu - then select the Users menu option - then select Preferences.

Click on the "Save User Preferences" link after you have made your choices to activate your change. Any changes made on this screen WILL NOT be saved unless you save them.

The following preferences may be set

• Would you like to have external applications such as the Adobe Acrobat Reader open inside the browser?

The choices are:

• Show in Browser (This option will always display your reports inside an Internet Explorer window. The advantage of this option is that the report will open immediately, rather than prompting you to either Open or Save the document first. The disadvantage of this option is that the reports will not email very well - the attached document will be difficult for the recipient to open).
• Use External Application (This option will always prompt you to either Open or Save the document. The advantage of this option is that you can easily email the report to another user. )
